This well established community organization works to foster the principles of equity, participation and inclusion within the community and in particular the acceptance of marginalized individuals. In 2020 SMCC provided funds for a “Back To School Program” aimed at assisting low income parents with education costs such as school uniforms, shoes, books, computers, sports equipment and excursions.

The program recognizes that education is an important factor in breaking down intergenerational poverty.
