Volunteer

Volunteers are the lifeblood of our Op Shop. Without them we could not operate. We rely on them to work in the shop and on our Committee of Management bringing their interesting life experience, knowledge and creativity that is so essential to the success of our organisation.

WE ARE ALWAYS LOOKING FOR VOLUNTEERS.

Our Op Shop is open from Monday to Saturday 10am -5pm.

We would love to hear from you.

Call in to the shop at 200 Bank Street South Melbourne or ring Anita our Shop Manager on 9699 6839.

There is a diversity of roles for volunteers including sales, sorting, pricing of donations, visual merchandising, communications, marketing and management. Volunteering is a great way to develop customer service and retail skills, connect with the local community, meet new friends, and help to raise funds.

You might have knowledge or interest in a particular area or are passionate about fashion, jewellery, books or other items. These are passions we are looking for and need in the shop.

Volunteering can be flexible and it can be a fun and engaging way to help your community.

Management committee roles include governance, financial and employee management and support, promotion and marketing, secretarial duties, liaison with local government, events management, health and safety, grants allocation, liaison with community organisations and more.
